Black Eagle supply their own and other brand name martial arts equipment to those involved in Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo and other martial arts.
Brit-net's involvement in the site has been both in a site level and in helping Black-Eagle in the development of their brand imagery. Although, at time of writing, the store is still new, traffic and sales levels have already exceeded the owner's early expectations.
Brit-Net have been our preferred partner on web design and eCommerce solutions since our humble beginnings back in 2005. Since then, we have evolved both as a business and, consequently, so has our online needs.
In 2008, once again, we began to outgrow our current osCommerce solution, and during 2009, we began exploring alternative solutions with BritNet.
As a result of a lot of feedback from us over the 5 years we have worked with Brit-Net, a new solution was put to us, developed by BritNet using the osCommerce core, but a radical departure from the usual osCommerce appearance.
At the same time Brit-Net began mocking up our new ideas for the website, we also began to substantially increase our product offering, which meant a completely new, and, in our case, radical approach to the navigation and categorisation of our new website.
It had to be easy for the visitor to find the right products, something our old site was starting to fail on. It also had to be quick to load, easy to purchase from, in short, a site any customer felt comfortable
using and dealing with!
Mat Bennett of Brit-Net came up with a completely new concept of product filtering, but, as usual, we presented lots of obstacles as it didn\'t quite fit our model!!! The idea was brilliant, but we needed to have it fit around certain aspects which we could not deviate from. Instead of
shrugging shoulders, Brit-Net set about putting our ideas into the design and configuration until they had a working idea! Still we changed and massaged things, yet still BritNet took the whole thing in their stride,
and \'problems\' that we put forwarded were dealt with and solved to our complete satisfaction.
We are so satisfied with the service, and especially the new site, that we also contract Brit-Net on a monthly retainer for ongoing site development/SEO projects etc. Money well spent in my opinion!
And the new site? Well, whether it is coincidence or otherwise, we have seen a vastly improved conversion rate for orders, both organically and via traditional CPC campaigns. We have also found that our new landing
pages are being indexed far more quickly, and the SEO results just 3 weeks after launch are nothing short of impressive!!
