This community project is managed by Brit-net as an ongoing concern, and has proven remarkably popular in the local area that it targets. The site is a good demonstration of some of the potential of a community site, even one targeting a relatively small group. Frequently updated content and interactive elements ensure that visitor numbers are consistently high, which generates enough advertising revenue to support the site.

As our own project, we also utilise Hayling.co.uk for testing ideas that are not yet ready for use on custmomer sites. This has led to use developing several new web applications from virtual tours to weather forecasting systems, a live surf cam and various content management solutions.
