Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is one of UK's leading visitor attractions and home to world-renowned naval ships such as HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and The Mary Rose.
Brit-net were commissioned to redevelop the Historic Dockyard website with the aim of providing an online experience more in-line with the dynamic and hands on experience of the dockyard itself.
The completely re-written site is also now backed by a powerful, bespoke, Content Management System. This system enables the staff at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the individual attractions to keep the site up to date and reflect the busy calendar of news and events at the dockyard itself.
We appointed Brit Net in March 2007 to redesign our website, which was long overdue an overhaul. They came forward with some fantastic ideas, including a better site structure and a custom built CMS, which is tailored exactly to our website, rather than the other way round - something other companies couldn\'t offer us. Since then we have gone on to develop a very good relationship with them, constantly looking at how we can improve our website and allowing it to evolve. In 2009 we worked closely with them to develop an e-tickets system, which has saved us a lot of time in administration of tickets and the cost of much dearer "off-the-shelf" solutions. We are continuing to develop this and take it forward and Brit-Net play a huge part in this.
